「舌燦蓮花」應是「舌粲蓮花」<br />

「粲」意符為「米」，本義指精米(如：白粲／精粲），引申為“美”(特指美女，如：粲者）、“笑”(如：博君一粲／以資<br />
一粲）。當形容詞，指綺麗、粹美、精妙(如：綺粲／粲麗／粲美／粲艷／粲花蓮舌／粲花妙舌）。當動詞，指吐放、恣情吐說(如：<br />
舌粲蓮花／舌粲珠璣／齒粲飛花／齒粲瓊瑰）、宋•洪适《擬古十三首•今日良宴會》：「放歌掀醉髯，晤語粲春葩。」（晤語：見<br />
面交談。粲春葩：吐放出的言詞如春花之富艷，奪目攝人。）。又指開；綻開，如「傾詞粲吐，下筆蘭芳」、宋•釋文珦〈四序〉：<br />

能言善道，有如蓮花般美妙。「粲」當動詞，指吐放；恣情吐說，見於清•吳趼人《劫餘灰•第十二回》：「老師傅舌粲蓮花，<br />
弟子頓開愚昧矣。」。「口吐蓮花」比喻口能吐發妙語，說話有文采。見於《醒世恒言•蘇小妹三難新郎》：「少游又問訊云：『願<br />
小姐身如藥樹，百病不生』小妹一頭走，一頭答應：『随道人中吐蓮花，半文無舍。』」「口吐珠璣」見於明•謝讜《四喜記•<br />
